Meet Linette, from Mazama, WA!
An experienced knitter and budding designer who appreciates knitting’s varied history and established techniques, but is not afraid to break the mold and try new things. She always brings her projects on backpacking & climbing trips.
Why do you knit?: It’s an addiction; but also to relax and meditate. I learned both knitting and crocheting when I was little from my Oma. Did the odd little projects at home and in school, but without much follow through. My sister got me hooked on it again in 2010 and I have been crafting non-stop since then. My most favorite projects by far are shawls.
Most challenging project (and why?): Cardigans – even with swatching I still can’t get them to fit right.
What’s your new favorite thing?: Currently it’s the new-to-us ’86 BigFoot trailer we’ve been restoring and traveling in. Our little home away from home.
